Meet the Cybex Sirona M Convertible Car seat with SensorSafe 2.0!

Part of Cybex’s Gold Collection, the Sirona M Convertible Car Seat has just launched in the US! This stylish and tech-savvy Convertible Car Seat has some clever features to ensure your child’s safety and your peace of mind. But before we go any further, for all you baby gear fanatics out there, this is NOT the same seat as the Sirona Convertible Car Seat available in Europe. The Cybex Sirona M does not swivel like its European counterpart, nor does it feature a load leg, but we’re excited to introduce you to something revolutionary: SensorSafe 2.0 Technology.

Inside the chest clip of the Sirona M is integrated SensorSafe Technology. Initially created to prevent the rising number of infant hot car deaths, SensorSafe 2.0 “goes a step further to monitor the well being of the child while the vehicle is in motion.” Basically, the Sirona M’s chest clip is integrated with an app. That app provides installation help, how-to videos, FAQs, and more. But the app will also alert the caregiver when:

The driver accidentally leaves the child behind in the car
The child unbuckles themselves while the car is in motion
The back seat becomes too warm or too cold
The child has been seated for too long

And couldn’t we all use a little help?

You’ll also find plenty of features on the Sirona M that you’d expect from a Cybex Convertible Car Seat. It has an individually adjustable Linear Side Impact Protection System (LSP System) — you might remember those little wings of protection from the Cloud Q or Aton Q! When used with the head and shoulder protectors, the LSP system absorbs up to 25% more impact in a side-impact collision. You can rest assured that baby will be shielded and safe.

If you’re skipping the infant car seat, you can safely lay your baby in the Cybex Sirona M. As you may already know, a newborn’s neck muscles haven’t become strong enough to sit up, and laying flat allows those muscles to properly develop. The removable newborn inlay gives baby a near-flat angle while they’re riding in the Sirona M.
