Upcycle your cardboard with makedo
You can recycle a cardboard box. Or you can turn it into a car. A robot. A playhouse. A birdhouse. Or anything else you can imagine. New craft kits from makedo make it really easy to create all kinds of playthings from leftover cardboard. These kits come with a special saw that cuts through cardboard but poses no hazard to small fingers. They also come with special connector pieces and hinges that can be used in a multitude of ways. To really understand the creative possibilities, check out the wonderful makedo video below.
I love this because it’s one of those wildly open-ended activities that really fires up the imagination while also teaching some great lessons about reducing, reusing and recycling. I also suspect that it’s as much fun for parents as it is for kids.
Join us today, November 23, from 3-4pm at our store in Cambridge for a special makedo craft activity for the whole family. We’ve been amassing cardboard for weeks and we’re going to have a ton of fun. Come on down.
