UPPAbaby Vista 2018 vs Nuna Mixx2 Stroller Comparison

UPPAbaby Vista Stroller 2018 vs Nuna Mixx2 Stroller

If you’re a city parent, you know that your choice of stroller is nearly just as important as a ‘burbs family’s choice of car. You’re going to be trekking around in that thing all year long! Both great options for city parents, the UPPAbaby Vista 2018 and the Nuna Mixx2 Stroller are two of our most popular. They both feature excellent suspension for often peskily-paved city sidewalks, especially in our hometown of Boston – insert rolling eyes emoji here. Alright, let’s compare the two.

First, let’s talk updates. As of right now, the Nuna Mixx2 will remain the same in 2018 as its 2017 model. The UPPAbaby Vista 2018 will boast some minor changes, though. All models will feature either brown or black premium leather accents! You’ll see these accents on both the handlebar and the belly bar. The 2018 Vista also features a new extended bassinet. UPPAbaby extended the length of the Vista bassinet’s sleeping area by 6.35cm. They changed the dimensions of the bassinet fabric and mattress pad while still keeping the same frame dimensions, so your stroller won’t be bulking up.

As far as newborn compatibility, you can use both strollers from the start. The UPPAbaby Vista comes with a bassinet, while the seat Nuna Mixx2 reclines completely flat. Pair this full recline with a raised footrest and BOOM, you’ve created a bassinet-ish environment that’s perfectly safe for a newborn. The bassinet-less Mixx might be a better option for you if you’re low on storage space. If you’re interested in a bassinet that’s overnight sleep certified, then the Vista could be for you. Just grab an UPPAbaby Bassinet Stand and you’re set.

The UPPAbaby Vista is a single-to-double stroller, and it can turn into a double stroller with the purchase of a RumbleSeat. The single-to-double stroller debate is a tough one, but if you’re still in the middle of it, check out the pro-single blog written by Head Bean Eli. The Nuna Mixx2 doesn’t convert to a double stroller. But if you’re obsessed with all things Nuna and a single-to-double is more your style, you’re in luck. The Nuna Demi Grow Stroller is expected to hit the market sometime in March of 2018. Check out our blog review here that includes our video straight from the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas!

It seems that all of our favorite strollers have their own “ohhh, ahhh” feature. On both the Mixx2 and the Vista, this feature has to do with the fold. Both strollers fold fairly easily, but what comes after is pretty neat. The UPPAbaby Vista 2018 stands on its own when it’s folded! The Mixx2 doesn’t stand, but while it’s folded it can be rolled around like a luggage for easy transport.
