The Cybex Cloud Q Infant Car Seat was one of the hottest releases this year for good reason: in addition to state-of-the-art safety features, this stylish ultra-modern infant car seat can recline! Lying flat is best for infants on the go, since the semi-upright position imposed by a car seat isn’t ideal for long periods, and reviewers are loving it. Whitney Barthel at Babycenter writes:

“The reclining backrest helps keep baby in an ergonomically correct position once you are done traveling in the car. I LOVE THIS. Charlie has a touchy digestive system, so riding in a car seat is so uncomfortable for him. Instead of getting him in and out of the seat to let him lay down in the stroller, this is a great solution to keep him in the seat and comfortable.”

This feature makes the Cloud Q a great fit for families who are going to be in and out of the car a lot with their baby, while also doing a lot of strolling; infant car seats are made to snap in and off of a base in your car and snap onto your stroller, letting you skip unbuckling a napping baby to transfer her. So if you’re transferring from the car to an extended stroll, you can just recline the Cloud Q with the baby in it, continuing her nap seamlessly from one set of wheels to another. Neat, huh?

Of course this means that if you’re going to be using the Cybex Cloud Q Infant Car Seat, you’re going to need a compatible stroller. The Cloud Q looks awesome on the sleek and stylish Cybex Priam Stroller, and the Priam comes with the adapters, so this is the most obvious choice. However, not every stroller is for every family, and you have plenty of other great options. Watch Eli demonstrate how the Cloud Q fits on almost all of our favorite strollers here:

A few reasons why you might go with these other options over the Priam:

  • You need to accommodate two kids. For twins or an older/younger pairing, you might want to choose the UPPAbaby Vista or the Bugaboo Donkey instead, since they both transform from a single to a double stroller.
  • You want something lighter, but it also has to be able to handle rougher terrain. The Baby Jogger City Mini GT is only 20.9 pounds, and has a really great fold – terrific to get in and out of your car. We also love the all-terrain wheels, which will be a huge boon on cracked sidewalk and playground mulch.
