Nuna has solved the common parenting problem of small car seat canopies by integrating a generous Sky Drape into the canopy of the Pipa RX. The Sky Drape provides full coverage shade and sun protection for a great napping environment while mesh side panels improve airflow for your baby.

In addition to the Sky Drape, the Nuna Pipa RX also has a mesh peek a boo window built into the UPF 50+ canopy and an extendable sun visor.

The load leg is more adjustable, allowing it to be safely used even when the Pipa RX is installed in the center seat where there is often a hump in the floor. This stability leg also has a crumple zone to disperse more force when an accident happens. The load leg now tucks neatly away into the RELX Base to protect your vehicle seat when it’s not in use.

Nuna has added steel reinforcement to their rigid LATCH connectors for added strength to keep your infant car seat firmly in place! They also now have 4 positions to minimize the gap between the car seat and vehicle seat back.

New for the Nuna Pipa RX base is an anti-rebound panel! The anti-rebound panel nestles snugly against the vehicle seat back to prevent rotation and add stability so your baby moves less in an accident.

Gone are the days of bubble levels and guessing which angle your little one should be riding at! The RELX Base has 4 levels of recline to ensure that your baby is always riding safely in the car. The recline can be set after the base is installed for hassle-free adjustments as your newborn grows.

How Do I Install the Nuna Pipa RX?

The Nuna Pipa RX base can be installed using the LATCH in your vehicle. Nuna’s 5 second True Lock installation makes it simple and easy to get a perfect installation every single time. If you are unable to access your LATCH or are riding in a car that doesn’t have LATCH, the base can be installed using the vehicle seat belt. Improved belt paths and easy to use seat belt lockoff make installation straightforward even without LATCH.

Traveling without your base? That’s no problem for the Nuna Pipa RX! The Nuna Pipa RX is equipped with a European belt path for baseless installation, making it easy to use and secure in taxis and Ubers.
