J.L. Childress JL Childress Gate Check Bag For Umbrella Stroller

About the JL Childress Gate Check Bag For Umbrella Stroller

Part of the reason you chose an umbrella stroller is because of its ease of travel. It's easy to bring to the mall, it's easy to store in your car, and it's great for traveling. Which is why, when you're headed out on a vacation, you want to bring your trusted companion. Most airlines allow parents to roll their stroller right up to the gate and then gate check it, making airport travel easy peasy. The thing is, airlines aren't exactly known for taking care of cargo. Protect your stroller from scuffs, scratches, dirt, and germs while traveling to your destination with the J.L. Childress Gate Check Bag for Umbrella Strollers.

The J.L. Childress Gate Check Bag for Umbrella Strollers is a functional and compact travel bag for gate-checking your umbrella stroller. This handy bag stuffs quickly and easily into the attached pouch for convenience, and is compact enough to fit into your travel bags. The two webbing handles make your stroller easy to carry, and the hard-to-miss bright red color and large graphics make it quick to identify when you are ready to pick it up. The JL Childress Gate Check Bag for Umbrella Strollers is compatible with most umbrella strollers including the Peg Perego P3, Maclaren umbrella strollers, Combi, Chicco, Graco, Kolcraft Jeep Wrangler, the Quinny Zapp, Uppa Baby G-Luxe, and more.

Closure not great, Not too durable

Bought this along with a new stroller before an airline trip that had one connection. At the first connection, while waiting for the stroller to be delivered to the jetway, I saw the baggage handler *dragging* the stroller (in bag) across the tarmac! The bag was damaged (actually got a hole in it from the dragging), but the stroller was fine.

At the destination, it was pouring. As other strollers came up to the jetway, they were drenched, but not mine, because of the bag! Since our 13-month old was a little cranky, we were very glad not to have to put him in a wet stroller!

Bottom line: It may seem a little unnecessary, but on the first trip, it protected our stroller from certain damage and prevented us from having to put a toddler in a wet stroller. More than worth its money.

Downsides: The bag has a hole in it after one trip, suggesting it's not the most durable thing. (but heck, even if you bought a new one for each trip, it's still cheaper than checking bags these days). Also, the drawstring closure doesn't really close all that tightly, so don't think about putting anything else in the bag with the stroller as it will get lost in the plane.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
