About the Mountain Buggy Duet

Great things come in pairs: cheese and crackers, salt and pepper, Bert and Ernie, Mary Kate and Ashley. Your favorite pair, of course, is your two kids. They're twice the fun of one – but it does complicate transportation a little. Stroller designers have tried to crack the two-kid code in many different ways, but one way or another, you wind up with a whole lot of stroller.

The Mountain Buggy Duet's advantage: it's incredibly streamlined, with a width equivalent to a single buggy! The Duet is only 25 inches wide, and achieves this minimal width without sacrificing any comfort – the seats are a roughly average size for a double stroller. The secret is cutting the width out of the chassis, so that every doorway is open to you and your kids. Attaching car seats doesn't add width either, because the optional adapters create a staggered arrangement, with seat one higher than the other, and both facing you. Or, you can stack on one or two Duet carrycots – or just have your babies riding in the standard seats, which have a full recline that accommodates newborns. So many options!

The Duet double stroller has the same excellent maneuverability that you expect from single Mountain Buggy strollers, and of course, it has the same rugged all-terrain capabilities. The 10" air-filled tires can lock or swivel, and they handle rocky trails with ease – no bumps to wake up the kiddos, who are locked snugly in place with the new and improved harnesses, featuring "twist and slide" adjustment.

Naturally, the Mountain Buggy Duet double stroller includes plenty of other features and accessories to make transporting your growing brood easier: an adjustable handlebar (31" – 42"), large independent canopies, a spacious shopping basket, an included bumper bar, and independent reclines.

Yes, great things do come in twos: two Twinkies in a package, two peas in a pod, and now, two kids in a Mountain Buggy Duet stroller!

Almost perfect double!

Easy To Maneuver, Durable, Smooth Ride, Comfortable

I researched a lot looking for the perfect double stroller before purchasing and am very pleased with this. It looks bigger and more substantial than 25 inches wide, yet gets through every tight spot. The wheels are air filled and rugged although not meant for off roading. The steering is wonderful and it turns very easily. The sun canopies are large although when the car seat is on the one side, the other side is not able to be fully extended. The carseat (Gracco Snugride 35) faces the parent which is preferable. The handle bar is height adjustable and comfortable. It has a large basket which is able to fit a large diaper bag and a couple shopping bags underneath. My son finds the seat extremely comfortable and it is fairly easy to recline(can recline all the way) although it is a little difficult to put them back up while the child is still in the seat-the fabric kind of bunches and needs to be tucked. It is easy to fold but does not have an automatic fold button. It is heavy (34lbs.)but I think average for a double. It takes up about a third of the back of a Subaru Forrester. On a vain note I thought it lacked a little of the wow factor that some of the other doubles have, but we have been stopped everywhere by people asking about it. The (small) cons I would say is the peek on the sun canopy has velcro rather than magnets, the lack of color choices, and that the cup holder is fabric and won't hold a soda cup-all minor things. I highly recommend this stroller

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
