Day 11 – Hotsling, Aden + Anais Wraps, & Boppy

Hotsling, Aden + Anais Wraps & Boppy

For today’s giveaway, we put together three of my all-time favorite products for new babies: a Hotsling, a package of Aiden + Anais blankets, and a Boppy pillow. My expertise with slings goes way back to my first daughter, when my first sling was puffy blue cotton number festooned with bright yellow moons. There was so much fabric, it took some time to figure out how to use it.

With a Hotslings pouch, the learning curve (and the fabric mass) is substantially reduced. It’s a sleek accessory that looks great, fits comfortably and can be used for a long time (I used my first Hotsling with a 2-year old). My favorite thing about Hotslings are their fabrics. They use a crisp, soft cotton sateen material with just a touch of spandex for stretch, and their patterns are so beautiful.

Aden + Anais swaddling blankets are a product that only became popular in the last two years or so. My sister had a baby about 6 months before I had Zev, and she raved about these soft-as-a-cloud, giant muslin wraps. She used them for swaddling, for strolling and for throwing over her stroller while her son was napping. When it was my turn to try them out, I was equally impressed. Even now, 11 months later, we don’t leave home without one.

Boppy pillows are probably the most ubiquitous product in this assortment. Most new parents have heard of this u-shaped pillow and know that it’s designed for breastfeeding support, but it functions in several other capacities as well. The Boppy hugs the mom’s midsection, raising up the baby and allowing the mom to rest her arms. But aside from nursing, the Boppy is great for support during supervised tummy time play, for cushioning the area for new sitters, and for travel. Never have I been so glad to have a Boppy as on the red-eye flight home from Las Vegas in September, when Zev was 5 weeks old.

One winner takes all. Good luck! Enter Now.

  1. I honestly think the Aden and Anais wraps are wonderful. My son is 14 months and I still do not leave home without one (or two). It’s a nursing cover, stroller blanket, high chair cover, burp cloth, play mat, swaddle blanket, peek a boo parachute and woobie all mixed into one!!!
