Sock it to ’em

Belly SockDon’t even talk to me about stretch marks. You might think you had it bad, but let me assure you, mine were worse. I won’t go into details, but trust me. So this is a product that is, at least to me, particularly genius. The Belly Sock is basically exactly what it sounds like – a big sock for your belly. There’s a pregnancy version and a nursing version. The pregnancy version is great for bridging the “gap” between non-maternity shirts and the rest of your bump, which opens the door to a significantly wider array of clothing choices, even later in pregnancy. The nursing version is designed to hide the belly that gets exposed when you lift your shirt to nurse – especially excellent for those of us who might be shy about showing off our fading stripes. Once again, with the Belly Sock, you aren’t limited to choosing clothing with nursing flaps – you can wear just about anything with easy access. I love that a simple strip of fabric can reacquaint you with a significant chunk of your pre-baby wardrobe.

Both versions come in multiple colors and sizes ranging from XS to 3X. I searched high and low for the fabric content but couldn’t find anything specific. Just that it’s a blend of fibers and that it’s very soft and feels nice against the skin.

  1. Great invention!! I would have loved this during pregnancy and am going to find some to finish out my nursing days! I hate playing “hide the flab” with the receiving blanket!!

  2. I love my Belly Socks. I have been wearing them since I was 12 weeks – and even now at 32 weeks they are still the best thing going. They ALSO help to hold up my pants!

  3. Thanks, Kal. Any idea what they’re made of? My curiosity is piqued… I guess I should just go and check the packaging in the store.

  4. will these be available on your website. i love the idea.
