Bugaboo Lynx | Review

Surprise! The Bugaboo Lynx is here, and Magic Beans has the inside scoop on all of the details you want to know. We were able to test drive the Lynx at our offices, and had the unique opportunity to directly compare the Lynx with other fan favorite strollers, including the Bugaboo Fox, the UPPAbaby Vista, the Bugaboo Cameleon, the Cybex Priam, and the UPPAbaby Cruz; be sure to check out all of our comparison videos and blogs! In the meantime, though, read on to find out all there is to know about the brand new Bugaboo Lynx.

Right off the bat, it’s important to know that the Lynx is a full-size, single-seater stroller. What makes it stand out from all of the other full-size strollers on the market is its featherweight status. As the lightest stroller in Bugaboo’s full-size lineup, the Bugaboo Lynx is an easy-riding stroller that doesn’t take much upper-arm strength to push, perfect for long days of one-handed strolling with your little one. The Lynx’s frame clocks in at just over twenty pounds, and the complete stroller weighs only twenty-four pounds; overall, the Lynx has a weight capacity of fifty pounds. The size of the stroller is similarly small; the stroller itself is only twenty-three inches wide, making it easy to stroll through doorways or grocery store aisles.

Despite its dainty size, the Lynx has a ton of features that make it a top-tier stroller. The stroller seat is both reversible and capable of a full recline, though it is important to note that the seat is not newborn compatible. For newborns, we’d suggest pairing the Lynx with the newborn-safe Bugaboo Turtle car seat, which has integrated adapters that work specifically with the Lynx for easy attach-and-release action. Already have a car seat? Then buy the Bassinet Fabric Set to make the Lynx newborn compatible (though you should note that the Bassinet Fabric Set is not safe for overnight sleep). The Lynx’s brake is located on the left side of the stroller’s bottom crossbar, making it easy to stop the stroller should any sidewalk traffic jams occur.

The Lynx has a number of fun features included in its design, including a large underseat basket that can fold over for easier storage, integrated attachment points to harness a Bugaboo Comfort Wheeled Board, and an extra-large extendable canopy complete with UV protection and a mesh peekaboo window for maximum airflow. Plus, ultramodern suspension technology keeps the puncture-proof wheels of the Lynx steady over even the unwieldiest of terrains. When you’re not using your Lynx, you can easily fold it up and leave it to self-stand wherever your heart desires. Want a more compact fold? Just remove the seat from the frame and fold!
