New York Magazine’s Stroller Testdrive

Check out this great article from New York Magazine. The author took nine of the newest and hottest strollers for a testdrive. Aside from the Fisher Price and the Perego Skate, we sell all the other strollers she tested, and I think she did a really good job of evaluating them. It’s a very even-handed and accurate assessment. Enjoy! Read More »

Newest dates for Phil & Teds strollers

According to an update I received this morning: The Classic buggy will be available 2/15/08. The Dash and the Vibe will be available 3/15/08. My local sales rep apparently had a preview of the strollers, but I haven’t had a chance to hear about it yet. Regal Lager and Phil & Teds are keeping things very hush-hush. I know a ... Read More »

Maclaren activates Lifetime Warranty today

Starting today, customers who purchase 2008 Maclaren strollers will be eligible to upgrade their basic warranty to a Sovereign Lifetime Warranty by simply registering their strollers online within 45 days of purchase. This is a “limited time” offer, but I don’t know exactly what that means. The Sovereign Lifetime Warranty will cover any manufacturer’s defect to the stroller for the ... Read More »

i’Coo Targo on YouTube

Check out this video demonstration of a new stroller from i’coo, the German company responsible for the i’coo Pico, which was a nice stroller but never really took off here in the USA. The new Targo looks a lot like several other hybrid style strollers on the market, but it has a couple of innovative features. I love the height ... Read More »

Phil & Teds new strollers delayed

I just heard that the release of the new lineup of Phil & Teds “in-line” strollers has been delayed. The latest word is that they are making some changes based on feedback from the ABC show and Cologne, and the buggies will now be available in mid- to late-January. I’m told the folks at Regal-Lager are “comfortable” with this new ... Read More »

Mini is in, so I hear.

A little birdie told me that the Baby Jogger City Minis have been spotted in our warehouse. These were one of my favorite finds at the ABC Show, with a winning combination of compact and uncompromising. The fold is outstanding, like all the City Series models. It’s just ridiculously easy. The footprint is nice – it’s small but it doesn’t ... Read More »

Bigger Mountain Range

Today, Sycamore Kids announced a new universal infant car seat clip for the Mountain Buggy Urban Single that will offer the broadest compatibility of almost any stroller on the market, with seven different seats accommodated. Once this new adapter is released, parents will have their choice of the following seats: Maxi-Cosi Mico Britax Companion Combi (not sure if it’s the ... Read More »

So that one’s Ted?

Sometimes it’s the little things that make me so happy. Like this brilliant accessory to the Phil & Teds stroller line. The Lazy Ted is basically a metal base for the Doubles Kit seat of the Phil & Teds (the one that clicks on to the back of the stroller) that turns the seat into an infant rocker. I love ... Maclaren to offer lifetime warranty*

*No, it’s true. Maclaren is preparing to launch a lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s defects in their strollers. All you have to do is register your stroller online within a certain timeframe after the date of purchase. To be perfectly clear, this will not cover issues due to wear and tear from regular use and abuse. All the same, it is ... Read More »

Baby Jogger downsizes

Evaluating new products isn’t usually straightforward. It’s very rare that I’ll see something and know immediately whether or not it will succeed, but when I feel that sense of certainty, I always follow my gut. On the last day of the show, I finally got around to the Baby Jogger booth. I wasn’t expecting anything earth-shattering, but lo and behold ... Read More »
