The Urban Nutcracker
This lively multicultural interpretation of the dance classic follows the story line of the 19th century fairy tale, fusing ballet, swing, hip hop, flamenco and urban tap with the classical score of Tchaikovsky and the pulsating beat of Duke Ellington.

Families Connect “Southern Exposure”
Families Connect at the BCA, an afternoon of workshops for families with kids over the age of five, hopes to foster creativity, self-expression and artistic development. You’ll visit the latest Mills Gallery exhibit and learn how artists use their location and space around them as inspiration and then create your own original artwork.

Bay State Model Railroad Museum Annual Holiday Open House
This museum only opens to the public twice a year and today, not only can you can see all the fantastic models trains, you can also bring your child to visit Santa. Model trains chug along tracks through a variety of scenes, including a 1940s Roslindale! Look for the Polar Express, Thomas the Tank Engine and the Hogwarts Express on the tracks. Santa will be downstairs at the Dandelions flower shop, located just below the museum, from noon to 3 p.m.
