The most fun bath toy EVER

After watching the Yookidoo Stack n’ Spray Tub Fountain in action at our magalog photo shoot, I was really excited to bring the sample home for my 2-year-old son. Since that day, it has become his absolute favorite bath toy, eclipsing a full bin of other options. I have to admit, I love it too, if only for the belly laughs it coaxes so consistently.

The base of the toy is a battery-operated water pump that floats in the tub and sends a simple stream of water shooting up about 10 inches. There are three boats to stack on top of the base, and two little plastic characters that each create a different spray pattern. The top boat has a built-in character who spins around, spraying water as he goes. There are many configurations for kids to try, and the spray is gentle enough to keep the water from drenching anything outside the tub. The on/off switch is a large button on the base unit that’s really easy for kids to operate; my toddler mastered it immediately. The fountain also comes with a suction cup to secure it in one location. We don’t use this much anymore, but it’s a nice feature.

I’ve also been impressed with the battery life – we put in a set of AA batteries at the photo shoot in October, and I haven’t had to change them yet after almost 3 months of nightly use. Although the sweet spot for this product is clearly the toddler set, I would recommend this for babies who are sitting comfortably in the tub, and older kids definitely enjoy it as well (my 8 year old proclaimed, “I love it!”). In the summer, the Stack n’ Spray Fountain is a refreshing addition to any swimming pool.

  1. OOh! I WANT this! Er, I mean… I am sure my daughter would enjoy this. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Definitely sounds like fun! Question though: Water doesn’t enter the battery compartment at all?

Also, I never got this year’s magalog 🙁 I received one last year and thought I read that if an address was still on file from last year it would be sent..?

  3. RE: “Definitely sounds like fun! Question though: Water doesn’t enter the battery compartment at all?”

It was fun, but the battery compartment indeed got water in it, so it died on us about 6 months later. Would not recommend, very disappointed.

  4. Hi Esther – I’m sorry to hear about that. Water *should* not get into the battery compartment. Did you purchase from us? If so, we will replace it for you.
