In gear for the holidays

Oliblocks are one of the successful instances where art and play intersect. Designed by architect Daniel Oakley, the original blocks have been featured in a variety of venues, from museums to toys stores. Now, they just introduced Oligears, a set of 11 gears in various sizes that can interlock or connect magnetically. The pieces are beautiful, the quality is excellent, and kids young and old will enjoy creating different constructions on the floor or on the fridge.

We’ve just received some, and according to the Oliblock website, they are now sold out until November. I think this may be a popular holiday item for creative kids with a flair for construction.
