Diana Toma, Manager, Magic Beans Brookline: The Orbit infant car seat base has one of the absolute BEST installs of any car seat we carry. Not only does it install easily, but when it’s installed, it attaches so incredibly tightly you can barely move it with even a good shove. The base has a hand crank that’s easy to find. When someone feels like they’ve pulled the latches/ seat belt tightly, you crank it and it takes out that last little bit of looseness and makes it perfect. While bases like Chicco and Nuna are probably slightly quicker for the average person to install, the Orbit base becomes one with the car, nothing beats it!

Since Orbit makes a modular system, all seats/ bassinets fit on all base, not that you would actually put a bassinet on a car base of course! But you CAN put the stroller seat on the bassinet cradle (the rocking base) and turn it into a rocker to calm the baby and cut down on the amount of stuff in your home. And as the baby becomes a toddler, they can continue to use the seat on the rocker base while they read (or *ahem* watch TV).
